“So much to do, so little time!” - Our summer guests are always impressed by how many excellent activities they can enjoy in our mountains during the summer season. Each year we see the list expand to feature new and exciting events and attractions for visitors of all ages, and this summer is certainly no different. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of our top five summer activities and some handy information on where you can find them.
Water fun for the whole family
Aquamotion in Courchevel is home to a huge range of activities, all under one roof. Which is handy, because sometimes the mountain weather can be variable! Aquamotion is open each day from 10am to 8pm and spans 15,000m2, which makes it the largest aquatic centre in the European alps.
But the fun doesn’t just exist in the swimming pools; there’s a mini-golf course which is perfect for children, a beach volleyball court and a huge slide. If that all sounds like too much energy, you’ll be pleased to hear that Aquamotion also includes an expansive wellbeing space, with treatment rooms, relaxation zones, a spa and much more.
Dawn until dusk by the lake
You’ve likely skied past the beautiful swimming lake in Les Gets without even realising. Located on the outskirts of the village, with incredible views, this lake is the perfect spot for a refreshing early morning swim as the rest of the world comes to life. Could there be a better way to start a day in the mountains?
As the time passes, the lake comes alive with families of all ages, gathering on the beach to enjoy the shallow waters and make a splash on the toboggan slide. Lunchtime is eagerly anticipated, whether it’s a picnic by the water or a table in the like-side restaurant, which serves delicious local and regional treats. Afternoons are for Wibit, the inflated water park situation in the middle of the lake and suitable for children aged four and above. This is great fun for adults alike, and the course expands each year to include new and exciting modules.

The thrill of the downhill
Downhill and cross country mountain biking has never been more popular, in part because the resorts of Courchevel and Les Gets host world class events that attract the best bikers in the world. The result is a continuous stream of excellent developments on the trails of both resorts, with renewed investment each year to improve facilities for mountain bikers. Beginners are encouraged to take to the saddle for the first time with expert, professional tuition and those less-included to cycle up him will enjoy the power of the e-mtb! Throughout Les Gets and Courchevel bike charging stations have been installed, making our trails and peaks more accessible than ever before.
A Morning Stretch
Our lucky guests at Kinabalu and Annapurna in Les Gets and Manali Lodge in Courchevel don’t need to travel far for a dose of morning wellness. Our expert yoga practitioners visit the terrace of the residences for a restorative and invigorating yoga session that takes in the stunning surround views and the tranquil calm of the mountains. Stretch away your aches and pains, find an inner peace before you launch your day of activities.

Sky Running
Experienced runners tell us they appreciate the challenges offered by the high altitude trails of our mountains, which maybe explains why trail running has become a big deal in Les Gets and Courchevel in recent years. Dedicated routes have been plotted through the mountains, with experts on hand to guide you if required. You’ll likely discover pistes and views that you’re more accustomed to during the winter season, and it’s always a thrill to descend into the village on foot to conclude your run.
